interzum award: intelligent material & design 2017
In cooperation with a consortium consisting of Enervision GmbH, AFP Textilveredelungs- und Vertriebs-GmbH, Geometry Global GmbH, Human-Computer-Interaction Center and the Institut für Textiltechnik of RWTH Aachen BRAUNWAGNER won an interzum award 2017. Intelligent material & design sees a jury of experts giving awards to the best products and innovations in the International furniture supplier industry.
The award was given to the development and design of the product "tex2 switch", a textile interface to operate furniture items.
Submitter was Kintec-Solution GmbH, manufacturer of contemporary styled motion furniture mechanisms, who worked intensively with the consortium on this project.
The textile device has been tested live on interactive seating furniture at the interzum exhibition from May 16 to May 19 in Cologne.
Bugatti Showroom, Grand Opening in Dubai
On May 10th the Bugatti showroom in Dubai will be opened. It is the brand’s worldwide largest showroom with a floor space of 240 sqm in the brand’s award winning design created by BRAUNWAGNER. Bugatti’s sales partner in Dubai is Al Habtoor Motors who owns the dealership for more than 11 years. Numerous media representatives and clients announced their attendance. Additionally there will be a chance to see the new Chiron in the streets as the opening will be accompanied by the kick-off of a Chiron-Tour at the Arabian Peninsula. smart at Auto Shanghai 2017
Again in 2017 BRAUNWAGNER created the trade fair appearance of their client smart for the Auto Shanghai taking place from April 21 to April 24, 2017. The previous architectural language has been transferred into a digital brand appearance. Interactive OLED exhibits communicate the highlights of the brand in a mixture of animated graphics, videos and informative details.
Auto Shanghai has become the biggest and most visited yearly event of the Chinese automotive industry. The smart booth can be found in exhibition hall 4.1H
Volkswagen at the NEW YORK INTERNATIONAL AUTOSHOW 2017
BRAUNWAGNER created the architecture and communication of the Volkswagen stand at the New York International Autoshow the third time in a row.
The show takes place from April 14th to 23rd at the Javits Convention Center and is one of the most important events on the American automotive calendar.
New Tradeshow Design for Lamborghini
BRAUNWAGNER won the pitch for the new tradeshow concept for Lamborghini. It will be realized for the first time at the Geneva International Motorshow 2018.

BRAUNWAGNER supports the trade fair presentation of the FH Aachen at EuroShop 2017
At the EuroShop 2017, from 5th to 9th of March 2017, the Faculty of Design at the FH Aachen will be showing the wide range of student projects from the BA courses in product design and communication design as well as the Master's degree in a common digital world. The conception of the stand is based on the close networking of the design disciplines with regard to communication in space. The synergies between the design disciplines are simplified and supported by digital design processes - they are in a permanent flow. The metaphor of "digital flow" symbolizes this in the concept of the trade fair appearance. In a two-semester concept and design process, the stand was developed in direct cooperation with the design agency BRAUNWAGNER and DISPLAY INTERNATIONAL as well as satis&fy from Dusseldorf.
BUGATTI SHOWROOMS: Design Awards and Openings
During 2016 the Bugatti Showrooms Leusden, Munich, Monaco, Duesseldorf, London, Brussels, Zurich, Taipeh and Gstaad have been opened.
Already in the opening period the showroom concept developed by BRAUNWAGNER received several creative awards. Recently it won a Good Design Award 2016. Prior to that it has been awarded with an Iconic Award in the category Interior-Retail. Furthermore it received an award at the Automotive Brand Contest 2016 and has been assigned as "Best German Showroom Concept 2016" by the Build Architecture Magazine.
Besides Geneva and Dubai in 2017 several openings in the U.S. are planned such as Los Gatos, Beverly Hills and Greenwich CT.
smart at the Detroit Auto Show 2017 (NAIAS)
Again in 2017 BRAUNWAGNER created the conceptual design of the appearance and the world premier of the Smart Electric Drive at the Detroit Auto Show from January 8th to 22nd. The overall creation of the booth in context spatial communication is based on the digital orientation of the brand. With interactive OLED exhibits and an innovative LED presentation corresponding with appropriate light and media choreography the electrification of all smart models will be communicated in an impressive way.
NAIAS takes place in the Cobo Center. As the biggest in the USA and the first of the yearly big five Auto Shows it has a significant importance in the automotive industry.
Mobile Showtruck for ebm papst
For the market launch of the new axial ventilator generation "Axiblade" in several European countries BRAUNWAGNER created for ebm papst a mobile exhibition concept on a showtruck. During the roadshow the clients received an exclusive advanced presentation of the new axial model range directly in front of their company doors. On a special selected vehicle an independent showroom on a transformable tower truck has been featured that could be extended in width, lifted off the towing vehicle and finally subsided on ground level.
Using the client specific design language BRAUNWAGNER created the interior and exterior design concept. A consequent transmission and representation of the created visual brand language highlighted the positioning of the brand as design oriented and fascinating technology leader and implemented their high standard of customer proximity and satisfaction. Additional the outer surface formed a mobile advertising space providing a high "on the road" attention.

An International jury awarded BRAUNWAGNER for their outstanding design quality in the category Fair and Exhibition for the appearance of their client smart at the IAA 2015. The German Design Award is the Premium Award of the German Design Council und savors world-wide reputation - not only among experts.
ebm-papst at Chillventa Nürnberg, 2016
Today, October 11th, one of the biggest International exhibitions for Refrigeration, AC&Ventilation and Heatpumps opens its doors in Nürnberg/ Germany.
The modular tradefare stand created by BRAUNWAGNER has been inserted once more to introduce the new developments and solutions in ventilator systems for refridgerating technique. The design concept consists of the symbolization of laminar air streams. A generated horizontal layering combines communication measures and architectural requirements.
smart, Paris Autoshow 2016
On September 29th the Paris Autoshow opened its doors. For the world premiere of the new smart electric drive BRAUNWAGNER created the appearance of the brand at one of the biggest autoshows of the year until October 16.
The overall creation of the booth in context spatial communication is based on the digital orientation of the brand. With interactive OLED exhibits and an innovative LED presentation corresponding with appropriate light and media choreography the electrification of all smart models will be communicated in an impressive way.
The 500 sqm booth is located in hall 5.2.
Bugatti Showroom-Opening in Brussels
On September 22nd Bugatti reopened its showroom in Brussels in the new brand design created by BRAUNWAGNER. With an area of almost 120 square metres the showroom is also the brand’s largest in Europe. Bugatti took the inauguration of the new showroom as an opportunity to present its new 1,500 PS super sports car, the Chiron, in Belgium for the first time.

MAN at the 66th IAA Commercial Vehicles in Hannover
From September 21st to September 29th the 66th IAA Commercial Vehicles took place in Hannover. Again in 2016 BRAUNWAGNER created the overall concept of the MAN-appearance. This in cooperation with our partner smd+, who were responsible for the architecture and us for the entire communication and media design.
On an area of about 10.000 sqm the MAN stand was one of the largest of the exhibition. At the leading trade fair for mobility, transportation and logistics 2000 exhibitors out of 52 countries showed their innovations- The number of exposing countries has increased since 2014 by 15%.
Haier at IFA Berlin 2016
From September 2nd to 9th Haier presents themselves at the IFA 2016 in Berlin. BRAUNWAGNER created the architectural- and communication concept of the booth in cooperation with Display International who was responsible for the 3 dimensional realization and project management.

Two Iconic Awards 2016
Again in the 4th year of the contest BRAUNWAGNER wins two Iconic Awards.
The booth concept for the client "smart" /IAA 015 wins in the category Architecture-Event/Exhibition.
The second award goes to the Bugatti Showroom Concept 2015 in the category Interior-Retail.
The Iconic Awards is the first neutral international architecture and design competition that focuses on how the disciplines interact. It acknowledges visionary architecture, innovative products and sustainable communication from all fields of architecture, the construction and property sectors and the manufacturing industry.

This year BRAUNWAGNER has been awarded two times in the category Architecture.
One Awards has been won for their client smart, exhibition stand at the IAA 2015, based on the tradeshow system "smart extension".

Haier - New Business
BRAUNWAGNER wins for DISPLAY INTERNATIONAL the Design Pitch on the appearance of Haier at the IFA Berlin from September 2-7, 2016. After this successful first step Braunwagner will be responsible for the architectural- and communication concept.
Display International will be in charge of the 3 dimensional realization as well as the entire project management.

From April 25th to May 4th the Auto China 2016 will take place in Beijng. BRAUNWAGNER created again the appearance for their client "smart". As well as in Geneva the concept "smart extension" has been advanced architecturally. With an urban profile glass front it generates the background of an associative city space for the guiding theme "Let your city in."
Volkswagen at the New York International Motorshow 2016
The second time in a row BRAUNWAGNER created the appearance of Volkswagen at the New York International Autoshow, March 25th to April 3rd, 2016. Core assignment was the dynamization of the Corporate Architecture and experience world "Think New".
The new Budd-e has been presented emissionfree, selfdriving and totally crosslinked as the first model of Volkswagen based on the new Modular Elektrifizierungsbaukasten (MEB). On the booth the future interactive and cross linked infotainment world of the new van has been stage managed in a comprehensive way.
ebm-papst at Mostra Convegna 2016, Milano
Again this year BRAUNWAGNER's client, ebm-papst, presented their product range at the Mostra Convegna, leading exhibition in Global Comfort Technology, from March 15 - March 18, 2016 in Milano. Also in the 3rd year the two storied A-booth (Hall 24) as well as the B-stand (hall 7B) with their distinctive design language provide for causing a stir. The foresighted design of the multiple applicable tradeshow kits and the high execution quality disburse in the matter of sustainability and energy - and cost efficiency.
Focal point of this year's show was the further development of the product presentation. The existing modular exhibit carrier system has been consequently enhanced and increasingly supplemented by digital and interactive gateways. Using interactive functional models that went beyond simple product exhibitions allow an ostensive procuration of product advantages and functions to the client, for instance the BUS-communication of intelligent ventilators used in counter fridges.

BRAUNWAGNER has been awarded on outstanding design created for the appearance of Mercedes-Benz at the Interschutz 2015, leading exhibition for rescue, fire prevention and disaster relief. For over 60 years the iF Design Award has been recognized the world over as a label of design excellence. The iF logo is an internationally established symbol identifying outstanding achievements in design. The award is one of the worldwide leading design awards judged out of more than 5.000 entries from 53 countries.

Again in 2015 BRAUNWAGNER wins two Good Design Awards for the MAN stand at the 65th IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014 as well as the booth concept market launch 2014/2015 of the new smart fortwo and smart forfour, called "smart extension".
Founded in Chicago in 1950, Good Design remains the oldest and the world's most recognized program for design excellence. All award winning products and graphic designs are published in the Good Design Yearbook 2015/2016 and posted shortly on the Museum's website.
Bugatti Showroom Concept
BRAUNWAGNER created the new Bugatti Showroom Brand Design Concept to be applied worldwide in 27 stores in 13 countries. The first showrooms with the new brand design have been opened beginning November in New York City, Miami and Tokyo. In the near future Munich and Monaco will follow.
Based on the Bugatti brand values Art, Forme, Technique the concept is focused on the technical fascination of the brand and its long and impressive tradition.

BRAUNWAGNER succeeded together with smd+partner in a pitch against several competitors and got the tender for communication and architecture of the MAN appearance at the 66. IAA for Commercial vehicles.

Research Project for the German Federal Ministry of Science and Research
BRAUNWAGNER has been assigned as design partner for the project INTUITEX placed by the German Federal Ministry of Science and Research. In cooperation with several industry partners and the RWTH University Aachen INTUITEX is an interdisciplinary research-project that helps to support human-technique-interaction under consideration of naturally human behavior in a more intuitively way. Consequently implemented user centered technical design will be utilized to turn textiles into individualized input-devices integrated at home environment.

Highlight was the world premiere of the smart 453 Convertible which has been showcased as special edition smart BRABUS tailormade – a perfect symbiosis out of idividualisation and urbane smart DNA.

BRAUNWAGNER created the appearance of Mercedes-Benz at Interschutz 2015 - leading exhibition for rescue, fire prevention and disaster relief from June 8 to 15.
Booth architecture, the automobile portfolio and images attend to the Team - a generation of heroes. It indicates that mainly the work of a collective is needed to achieve exploits. The multilayered architecture seems to steadily moving caused by slants. Car groups and fields of operation are assorted via structural shell and single walls. Like the connection of action teams in reality a belt with claims connects particular subject areas.
Volkswagen Golf GTI Festival 2015, Woerthersee / Austria
The fifth time in a row BRAUNWAGNER created the lead concept for the architecture of the Volkswagen GTI festival from May 13 to 15. Main task was to connect the environment of the main stand (show stage, shops and WRC-lounge) with the entire action area (driving experience, WRC world champion and concert stage) to an unique appearance.

The 2015 appearance at Auto China Shanghai from April 22 tp 29 has been created again by BRAUNWAGNER. After Paris and Geneva the new tradeshow concept "smart extension" came into operation. Cars of the new but also the last generation were exposed together. The interaction of architecture, communication and media choreography emerged an homogeneous impression imparting the visitors a progressive and sophisticated brand picture.
BRAUNWAGNER stage managed the booth of ebm-papst at the ISH 2015, Frankfurt
At the world’s leading trade fair for innovative energy, efficient heating and air-conditioning ebm-papst impressed with the world premiere of their radial ventilator "RadiPac". Highlight was the specially by BRAUNWAGNER developed shiftscreen exhibit positioned as attraction pole in the center of the two level booth. The exhibit design underlined product innovation in a real but also virtual way on both levels. The volume of an exemplary ventilation and airconditioning construction has been pictured exemplarily by a restrained composition out of layered glass stage managed by assessable illumination. To obtain a perfect distant effect the layer composition has been continued as connective gesture across both floors.

As a continuation of the concept " smart extension" BRAUNWAGNER created the appearance of their client smart at the Geneva International Motorshow. The product communication focused on individualization possibilities, the new instigation technology as well as the innovative media system of the new smart generation. For the latter individual exhibits were developed.
The communication themes were carried via different media to an overall choreography. A circular ground floor LED conveyed the extremely small turn radius and transported it via light and color impulses to the back illuminated facing.

BRAUNWAGNER created the appearance of smart at the Mondial de l'Automobil from October 4th to October 18th, 2014 in Paris. The booth concept according to the smart FOR campaign has been an evolution of the former concepts as "smart extension". For the market launch of the new smart fortwo and smart forfour the architectural concept has been reflected by scaling the space of the doubleseater to the fourseater. Focus of the product communication for the car innovations was the extreme small turn radius, the design of the new cars as well as extended technical features.

MAN IAA Commercial Vehicels 2014, Hannover
BRAUNWAGNER created the entire MAN-appearance at the 65th IAA Commercial Vehicles 2014 from September 25th to October 2nd in Hannover / Germany. The agency generated the conceptual design and development of architecture and communication for the booth. At the leading trade fair for mobility, transportation and logistics MAN represents the full diversity of MAN Truck & Bus models on an area of some of 9.500 sqm. It is about the second largest stand of the exhibition. MAN will be presenting a wide range of state-of-the-art trucks and buses.
Volkswagen, Moscow International Motorshow 2014
BRAUNWAGNER planned and designed the Volkswagen booth at the Moscow Motor Show 2014 the third time in a row. Objective was to create a clear, dynamic, architectural space orchestration including highlight stage on an area of 1950 sqm. Stage and LED presentation wall have been amplified by using strong formal and communicative accentuation. A product affine and emotional adventure world has been generated by collateral integrated lounges. Tonality and modulation of the highlight stage was in context with the lounge area. Architecture, interior and materiality generated an overall impression adjusting specifically to the Russian marketplace.

Volkswagen Golf GTI Festival 2014, Woerthersee / Austria

New Business, Henkel Adhesives Technologies
BRAUNWAGNER has been selected to execute the worldwide project "Managing the Customer Experience" for the Henkel division Adhesives Technologies. On a strong B2B base this division generated the highest Henkel turnover in 2013.
Two tradefare stands at China Autoshow 2014
Again in 2014 BRAUNWAGNER created the appearance for their clients Bugatti and smart at the China Autoshow: The new Bugatti edition "Black Bess" has been stage-managed impressively and high-classed beside its historical prototype named "Typ 18" built in 1913. smart celebrates its 5 year China anniversary and underlines their successful collaboration with smart Europe with strong colors and a graphical firework.

On a 600 sqm booth BRAUNWAGNER stage managed the last European appearance of the line smart 451. The cars have been presented in an unusual tight area marked as parking place to highlight the parkability. The BRABUS tailormade red edition has been placed as world premiere in the center of the stand.
